My friend sam ever since he got xbox live at christmas has kept punching and kicking me in what he thinks is a friendly way all because i didnt spend to whole week on xbox with him. Now i have tryed telling him there is more to life than sitting on an xbox everyday of the week but he keeps telling me everyday at school be on xbox tonight. School nights are bad as he makes me stay up to 1 o clock and i feel really tired as i only get 5 hours sleep and then on weekends he expects me to stay up all night. This really annoys me as he is like the “leader” of m group of friends and it is really making me depressed.

I’m 17 and leaving for the army 15 days from now. I had to have a USAA debit card before shipping out and I just got it today. In my USAA account I have both Checking and Savings accounts open. I activated the debit card but what I want to know is exactly how does it work? Does the money I put in go into checking or savings, does the money I spend come out of checking or savings, or will they always give me an option? I’m sorry if this sounds like an idiotic question, I’m transitioning to the adult life quite fast so I would appreciate a helpful response. Please and thank you.

I can’t go downstairs in my own house. They don’t buy me anything even on Christmas. They say they hate me. They don’t let me stay up after 7. I can’t go out with friends, or play any sports. They ground me for EVERYTHING! They ruined my social life, and they are ruining my life now. I can’t tell them anything, because they don’t listen and they use what I say against me. I’m depressed living here so I’m thinking about running away, or killing myself.

We’ve been friends for about 2 years now, and a few months after we met, he asked me, over Facebook if I liked him more than a friend and if I wanted a boyfriend. I made it clear to him that I just liked him as a friend and he said ok. Then a few weeks later he asked me over Facebook again, and once again I told him I just like him as a friend. Then a few months after, I got into a relationship with this guy called tom and when he found out he seemed annoyed and jealous. After 2 months, me and tom decided to just stay friends and a few days after we split up, he messaged me on Facebook and asked if I wanted to go out with him! Once again, I explained that I only like him as a friend. Then a few weeks later he messaged me again asking me if I was sure we wanted to stay friends. I said yes. After that, he didn’t say anything, so I assumed he’d moved on. A few months ago he starting talking to me quite often about this girl he really likes so I thought thank god, he has moved on and now I can feel comfortable around him. I gave him advice on the situation and things were going ok. Then a couple of weeks later, I invited him (and a few other friends) to one of my friends party’s and my friend’s mum came up to me and said that he’d been telling her that he’s in love with me and he feels sad when we’re not hanging out together. I had to confront him (as nicely as possible) a few days later and he said he was sorry. It was his birthday last week and we all stayed at his house. I slept on the living room chair downstairs and he was on the couch with his friend. In the middle of the night, he thought I was asleep and came up to me and said, ‘I think you’re asleep but I’m gonna tell you how I really feel now’, so I just pretended to wake up and told him I was trying to sleep. A few days ago, he asked me if I wanted to go for a drink in his house next week and I don’t know what to say. He’s a really nice guy, he’s really polite, kind and a great friend but I’m getting so tired of him being like this. It makes me feel uncomfortable around him. He knows I only like him as a friend, I’ve told him a few times so why is he bring like this? I can’t avoid him because I’m in his college class five whole days per week. I feel bad telling him to just stay away from me because he is a really nice person, I kinda feel sorry for him in a way. Does anyone have any advice?

Ok he’s 17 I’m 15 I wrote him a note awhile ago and when he was reading it he was trying to block his friends from seeing it but one friend could see it and was reading it out loud they all were laughing but he smiled and put it in his pocket. He didn’t talk to me for about 3 weeks after that but he smiled at me every time he saw me or he would make a stupid pose to make me laugh (which did), at lunch he would be talking to his friends and they all would turn around to look at me and when I would turn around to look at them they would turn back around and start talking again now he talks to me a little bit on twitter but he mostly just comments on things I tweet. Sometimes we stay up till 1 in the morning. He asked me if I watch his videos and I said yes and then I told him I love all his videos and he said ” I’m glad I got a fan ” he asked me which one of his videos i like the best and when i told him he said he liked that one too. Then he asked me what song he should do for his next music video and he said he liked the song I picked. Idk if he likes me or not?!?!? And I can’t tell if he’s flirting??? I really like him!!!!

Hi, MASSIVE PARAGRAPH ALERT!!!
I’n 14, 15 in a couple of weeks and I’m just bored to the point of extreme depression with everything. Without sounding arrogant I’m very intelligent but not a ‘nerd’ or borderline autistic. I’ve had a lot of **** going on in my life from ill relatives (cancer) to extremely stressed parents to my sister who has dyslexia and bone problems and had an awful time at school (18). This, and the general ethos of my family means I function at a totally higher maturity level than that of people in my year. This makes it hard to socialise with friends as their priorities are not on their upcoming GCSE exams but only going out drinking alcohol and picking up drunk girls. I used to play sports every day of the week, sailing, running, hockey, golf all sorts but this amount of sport caused over-use Injuries in my knees (condromalacia) which ended that. I have one friend I enjoy being with a lot but he isn’t that intelligent and rarely mentally stimulate me. School is an absolute breeze I am working at A* at everything without even trying, and no revision, sounds good but it’s excruciatingly painful as every lesson is dull and takes me 10 minutes out of the 1 hour to learn. Nothing at school stimulates me it’s all just about remembering it which is easy. I see adults as interesting humans, more life stories, higher maturity yet teachers just patronise and some condescend me which is ****. I used to be in with the ‘popular crowd’ in middle school and that was brilliant, they had plenty of things to talk about, to do and kept me engaged. It also meant I had a choice of beautiful and exciting girls. This group of ‘populars’ used to fall in and out with each other including me, after the second or so time I made a moral point and didn’t go back with them despite them asking. I didn’t at the start of high school eithe; my biggest regret. My parent are too stressed to listen, I’ve tried lots of times. Either that or they don’t have an answer. HELP!!!
