    Of course they can—sadly, they do not realize and acknowledge the true meaning of the celebration which is the Birth of Christ. Oh, if they only knew how much greater of a treasure this is than the greatest earthly gift is.

    I’ve done so every year since I can remember, so they definitely can.
    Atheists simply don’t celebrate the religious aspects of it. It’s just a time for celebration and getting together.

    ANYONE can, especially Atheists…since they don’t believe in Christ anyway, why not celebrate it as a holiday?
    Someone once told me that their religion didn’t allow Christmas Trees….so they did not celebrate Christmas. I told him, by his very fact that he DOES NOT celebrate it, he is acknowledging the day, and therefore, admits it does exist. He should look at it as just a celebration, a day of exchanging gifts and just that. nothing else.
    But his very disproval of the day, is saying…” I believe, so I don’t believe.”
